Frank S. Holleman, III - President

Frank and his wife Anne live in Greenville, and Frank is a senior attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center with an office in Chapel Hill, N.C.  Frank was the recipient of the 2011 South Carolina Environmental Awareness Award, given each year to one South Carolinian by the General Assembly and the Governor.  Frank has served as U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education and for a number of years was a member of Wyche, Burgess, Freeman & Parham, P.A., in Greenville.

Brad Wyche - Vice President

After working as an attorney in Greenville for nearly 20 years, Brad left the law practice in late 1998 to found Upstate Forever and has served as its Executive Director since that time. As an attorney, he concentrated in the environmental field and was recognized by his peers as one of "The Best Lawyers in America." Brad has served as a member of the Governor's Council on Natural Resources and the Environment and the South Carolina Coastal Council. From 1999 to 2003, he was the Chairman of the South Carolina Board of Health and Environmental Control. Brad is the co-author of Guide to Environmental Law in South Carolina, published by the South Carolina Bar in 2011, as well as numerous articles in legal journals on environmental and natural resource protection issues.

Mac Stone - Executive Director

Mac is a National Geographic Explorer and internationally acclaimed photographer. A senior fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers and Sea Legacy, he uses iconic imagery to further conservation goals across the globe. His work has been published widely in BBC, National Geographic, Garden and Gun, World Wildlife Fund and many others. Cary H. Hall - Treasurer

Cary currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina and is an attorney at the Wyche law firm. During his long career, he has been recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for nearly 20 years. Cary is a leading authority on tax law and implementation of conservation easements in South Carolina, providing Naturaland Trust with invaluable counsel. He received his law degree from Havard Law School and also valiantly served his country in Vietnam receiving the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star. 

Ben Geer Keys - Trustee

Ben is an avid nature photographer with a passion for the mountains - waterfalls, wild flowers, and mountain vistas. As a young boy, Ben spent many of his summers in the mountains surrounding Caesar's Head, South Carolina. Cultivating his love for the natural beauty of the Upstate, Ben now spends his time working with organizations geared towards protecting and preserving South Carolina's natural heritage. Judy Cromwell - Trustee

Judy is a fond supporter of the arts and conservation in the Upstate region of South Carolina. A native from Greenville, she finds great pleasure in helping Naturaland Trust continue to protect and conserve the mountains she grew up enjoying as a child. Judy enjoys an active lifestyle centered around hiking, skiing, swimming, and tennis. She is also an accomplished artist and painter. 

Doug Harper - Trustee

Doug Harper is the Chairman and third generation owner of the Harper Corporation-General Contractors, a regional, diversified construction company headquartered in Greenville, SC. Over his career he has been actively involved with industry and community organizations. A life-long environmentalist, he spends his free time in the outdoors hiking, cycling, mountain biking and adventure travel. He especially appreciates the natural beauty and uniqueness of our Mountain Bridge Wilderness.
